Kewaunee is the "door" to Door County, Wisconsin, located 30 miles east of Green Bay and 30 miles south of Sturgeon Bay on the Door Peninsula. The verdant Kewaunee River valley, boater-friendly Kewaunee Harbor, and the sandy shores of Lake Michigan are among the natural features of this small city. The site for our Inn has hosted public accommodations since 1858. The current Inn was built in 1913 and extensively renovated within the past decade. Come visit the Lakeshore!

The Kewaunee Renaissance LLC (KR) was formed in 2006 by a group of investors for the purpose of rehabilitating and adaptively reusing Kewaunee’s historic structures to revitalize Kewaunee downtown and waterfront areas with music, art, crafts, literature, architecture, landscape, and design.

KR’s name is derived from the rebirth and flourishing of the fine arts from the 14^th to the 16^th centuries in Europe, and serves as an inspiration for the advancement of Kewaunee’s culture – past, present and future.

The Kewaunee Renaissance LLC is making progress with properties in the downtown area. We are grateful for the assistance offered by the Kewaunee County Economic Development Commission, the City of Kewaunee, and the Bay Lake Regional Planning Commission, in providing necessary contacts for the success of these projects, including governmental agencies, community groups, developers, prospective investors and tenants.
